Completed BS in Business from Louisiana Tech and played football. Earned Masters from Dallas Seminary, and Doctorate from Trinity. After seminary, got married to Sharon, whom I met at Pine Cove Camp as a teen, and moved to New Mexico raising 4 children for 25 years working with Young Life, churches, and non profit causes. 2013 moved to Baton Rouge with a church at LSU, and have been on staff with The Navigators, an international mission focused on evangelism and discipleship, as well as serving as a hospice and hospital chaplain in our community. November 2019 brought a transition to Austin, and am continuing as a hospice chaplain, and serving with The Navigators.
Learned many things in school, but learned even more about life on the football field. Lee was a great place to be, and wish I had followed up with more classmates to know each one better through the years. A regret, I wanted to be in debate and choir as well as play football, and didn't get to know the diversity of our class beyond my little bubble and hear each one's story of what matters most in life; I missed out. Mr. Leath thought I was a trouble maker, as I had to park my old Ford in the back lot on a hill so I could start my car by popping the clutch push starting it, as I didn't have the money for a new starter, he thought I was making trouble.
